Blackpool in the Premier League?!

In an amazing match against Cardiff City, Blackpool came out victorious as the Championship play-off winners, the score ending at a tight 3-2. With the prize at an estimated £90m, the stakes couldn't be higher for the Northern team who cant seem to be doing anything bad at the moment. A spot in the Premier League, with the chance to play among the worlds best and most expensive players is of the highest prestige for Blackpool FC.

But there is a bad side to all the glory; The losing, it's inevitable, a team cannot go straight from the Champions League, to the Premier League, it's too much to ask. Do Blackpool fans expect them to do better than actually achievable? Possibly. The fans are extremely patriotic, brandishing bright orange (or tangerine) clothes whenever an opportunity arises, their shirts will always be louder than their rivals, no doubt about that.

Blackpool's ability to bounce back from a bad start never fails to astonish. Take the play-off final, for example, Cardiff City scored the first and third goal, but the Tangerine Army didn't let it knock them back, it seemed to make them play harder. The hunger to win is noticeable whenever they have control of the ball or not.

I've read a lot about this to be able to write this article, and basically Blackpool's story is a love-able one, from 'rags to riches' I suppose. They have to prove themselves in the Premier League, not to WIN, but to win a few matches and not come last would be good enough for me.

Thanks for reading all this, if anybody did, comment? (:
